About
Olga Volkova, an artist and designer from Berlin, Germany, combines hand-made embroidery and painting.
Olga sees her mission as transforming the stunning beauty of nature into everyday objects such as paintings, installations, and clothing. The idea is not new; it correlates with the Japanese tradition Ukiyo, meaning ‘pictures of the floating world’, which refers to the transient nature of everyday life. In her installations, Olga uses a variety of organic materials.
In addition to painting, Olga established the fashion brand Moont. The brand features unique clothing with hand-made embroidery, ensuring that no two pieces are identical, much like how you never find two identical branches on a tree.
